Scotty McKnight, born February 11, 1988 is an American football wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Jets in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at Colorado.

New York Jets
McKnight was drafted by the New York Jets in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. McKnight joins best friend Mark Sanchez, whom McKnight has known since he was eight years old.
Controversy
McKnight was nearly expelled during his senior year of high school after writing a journal entry for a class assignment that contained explicit death threats directed towards a teacher. McKnight did not deny the charges and conceded the entry was a lapse in judgement but, he did state that the matter was a misunderstanding. McKnight was suspended by the school while an investigation was conducted and he missed the football team's final eight games of the season.
College career
McKnight was a walk-on at the University of Colorado, but finished with the school's all-time records for receiving touchdowns and receptions. He finished with 215 catches, 2,521 yards, and 22 receiving touchdowns.
