Christine O’Donnell Talks Witchcraft, New Book and Walkout on CNN

Delaware. Tea Party darling Christine O'Donnell had blasted onto the scene and shocked everyone when she snatched the Republican nomination from the establishment candidate, former Republican governor Mike Castle. Now, O'Donnell did not win the general election, Senator Chris Coons did, but she sure did stir things up! Well, now she's out with a new book, "Troublemaker," and she's taking us behind the scenes and telling us everything in the book.

The magazine reported that Morgan said, "From an interviewing standpoint, I don't think there was anything that would constitute rudeness. The issue of gay marriage is clearly significant in the wake of (the popularity of) Michelle Bachmann. I wasn't asking about to it to be outrageous, I just assumed she would have a standard answer for it since she wrote about it in her book. It was bizarre."

O’Donnell, a darling of the Tea party and former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate from Delaware, just published a book, Troublemaker. One of the topics she discussed in her book was a television commercial she did during her Senate campaign in which she said, “I am not a witch. … I'm you.” The commercial was made in response to an old piece of video footage aired by Bill Maher on his show “Real Time with Bill Maher” that suggested a high school acquaintance of hers may have practiced occult activities. According to the Los Angeles Times, O’Donnell now said of the commercial that she regretted it: “Everyone said 'trust the experts.’” O’Donnell lost her Senate campaign to Chris Coons in 2010.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, O’Donnell also claims she was overlooked at a Republican party fundraiser and struggled against a lack of support from the Republican party.
